Humble Beginnings
In 2009, an Accountant with an Information Technology background, whilst having troubles with his vehicle, went to purchase parts on a busy Saturday morning. He was very surprised that the auto parts store he visited was extremely busy and after waiting nearly 1 hour to be helped, found they did not have the parts he wanted.
At this point in time, he decided to develop an Online Car Parts Store to afford South Africans a more convenient and safe way to purchase Car Parts. Many years went into research and development to formulate a plan to take Car Parts, Online.
Online Car Parts started off in a Single Garage in Randburg with 2 dedicated employees who worked 16 hours a day. With poor internet penetration in South Africa, the Online business did not take off as anticipated. Years of poor sales resulted in much more pain which had to be endured.
It was truly the survival of the fittest in this New Urban Jungle called eCommerce. His passion for Innovation and his Determination would not let him quit. Dogged and Unrelenting persistence and an unfailing belief in his new service, an Online Store, he pursued his dream of building this giant and achieving success.
Three Years Later, Online Car Parts moved to a larger premise at Northview Shopping Centre, Northgate, Randburg, and opened two-off site warehouses.
Currently, 9 Years Later, May 2020, Online Car Parts have grown from strength to strength. Its Founder attributes this amazing growth to the dedication of past and present employees, loyal customers, partnered supply chain, his supportive family, and most importantly, the strength bestowed upon him by the most high, GOD.
